God tells us the way in which we should go, but are you listening to Him, or planning your own journey? We need look no further than the Word to know what God wants for our lives. And although it’s easy to feel small in this great big world, if we will allow God to guide our senses, our words, our sight and our steps, we can accomplish incredible things in Christ’s name.
“Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” I John 4:4
It’s so easy to become spiritually drained while seeing the negativity and evil on constant display in advertisements, the news, social media, and what seems to be everywhere we turn. Rather than allowing the noise of the world to make us numb to the needs of others, we should listen more closely to hear the cries of those in need.
“Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more." Mark 4:24
Let us hear what God wants us to hear.
"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8
We are all works in progress, with faults and mountains to climb. Rather than concentrating on shortcomings, we should look for and see the very best in each other. When we see others struggling it may be easy to cast blame, but we should instead look for ways to lend a helping hand to those in difficult situations, always looking for ways to be of service.
"See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many." Hebrews 12:15
See as God wants you to see.
Mean, critical and angry words should not find a place in your conversations. Ask God to give you the right words in moments of frustration, thus allowing Jesus to speak through you. His words are those of love and understanding, the only sure way to reach those who need to be reached and maintain true wisdom and calm.
"A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." Luke 6:45
Let God speak through you.
In the modern world we have become so busy in our own activities and pursuits. But are you pursuing God’s will in your life? God will direct your steps leading you to the right people, places, and situations. His direction will lead you where you are meant to be to serve others and to receive what you may need as well.
This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go."
Go where God directs you.
Cheerfully in Christ,
