The Lord is My Helper | Hebrews 13:5-6

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

As God’s children, we should refrain from greed and selfishness in word and deed.  When worldly pressures close in, keep seeking the will of God, rather than yearning for the things of this world, or fulfilling the desires of the flesh. Instead, we should seek out the truth in God’s Word, and pray that we bear the fruits of the Spirit in our lives. There is nothing that people can do to us that God cannot help us with, or through. He can turn any situation from something meant for our harm into something that brings blessings into our lives. Great contentment can be found in knowing that our Heavenly Father will never abandon us, but He will protect us and provide our every need.
